  • Is this safe to use for kids?
    Safety is our top priority. The SCRIB3D Junior operates at a low temperature, ensuring there are no hot external parts. The pen tip and filament can be safely touched without risk of burning. This pen is suited for children ages 6-13. 

    What size filament does the pen need?
    The SCRIB3D Junior uses 2.5 mm filament spools that are low-heat, BPA-free, and non-toxic. It is not compatible with PLA, PETG or other 3D printer filaments. 

    How long will a charged pen last?
    The SCRIB3D Junior heats up in less than a minute and is used while plugged in. It can be used on-the-go when plugged into any USB-C battery, power bank, laptop or phone. 

    What can I draw on?
    Because of the low temperature, you can draw on just about any surface, including paper or even your skin. We recommend testing the surface before use.

    What type of battery or charging cable does the pen require?
    The SCRIB3D Junior comes wired with a USB-C charging cable. It just needs a USB-C power source to plug it into. 

    Can I change the color of the filament midway through a spool?
    The SCRIB3D Junior has forward and backward buttons, so you can reverse filament out of the pen to change colors. Just make sure to snip the ends of the reversed filament if you want to use it again.
